Terms of use

The rules of the game, in plain words. By using Playout you agree to these terms.

These terms apply between you and Gamelight GmbH, Mönkedamm 11, 20457 Hamburg, Germany (“we”, “us”), for the use of the Playout Android app (“Playout”). How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

1. What Playout is

Playout is a free app that rewards you for playing mobile games. You discover games on the Playout shelf, install them from Google Play, finish levels to collect coins, and turn your balance into rewards such as PayPal cash or gift cards. Using Playout is free: there is nothing to buy in Playout.

2. Who can use Playout

  • You must be at least 16 years old. To cash out, you must be allowed to hold the reward account (for example a PayPal account) in your country.
  • One person, one account. Your account is tied to your device; please don’t create or use more than one account.
  • Playout is available on Android devices through Google Play.

3. Coins and your balance

  • You collect coins for finishing levels in games from the Playout shelf and through bonuses such as streaks, challenges, events and friend rewards.
  • Coins are a counter, not money. At regular intervals (currently every four hours) the coins you collected are converted into a balance in your local currency. The value of a round of coins can vary; there is no fixed exchange rate.
  • Coins and balances are personal. They can’t be sold, transferred to other accounts or exchanged outside the ways offered in the app.
  • Levels count when the game reports them to us. Levels in games that weren’t installed from the Playout shelf, or that were played on another device, can’t be credited.

4. Rewards and cashing out

  • You can cash out once your balance reaches the minimum shown in the app for your currency. Payouts are made in the steps shown in the app; any amount above the step stays in your balance.
  • The rewards available to you (for example PayPal cash and gift cards) are shown in the app and may vary by country and over time.
  • Rewards are delivered by email through our payout partner. Please enter your email address carefully; a reward sent to an address you entered is considered delivered.
  • Before your first payout we ask for a short face verification in the app to confirm that each person uses only one account. Details are in the privacy policy.
  • Gift cards and payment services are subject to the terms of their issuers.

5. Friends and invites

You can invite friends with your username as the invite code and add friends in the app. Invite bonuses and friend rewards follow the rules shown in the app at the time. Invites must go to real people who want to use Playout; rewards for invites created by other means are void.

6. Fair play

To keep Playout fair, you agree not to:

  • use more than one account, or let someone else use yours;
  • use emulators, bots, scripts, automation, modified apps or devices, or any other means to collect coins without actually playing;
  • hide or fake your location or device information to obtain rewards;
  • exploit bugs; if you find one, please tell us at support@playout.gg.

If an account breaks these rules, we may withhold the rewards obtained that way, reset its balance, or close it. Where reasonable, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

7. Games from the shelf

The games on the Playout shelf are published by us (Loyalty Gaming) or by partner publishers. Each game is provided under its own terms and privacy policy. In-game currencies, items and purchases belong to the game and are separate from Playout coins.

8. Changes to Playout

Playout keeps evolving: games on the shelf rotate, and we may change, add or end features, bonuses, events and reward options. If a change significantly affects you, we’ll let you know in the app. We may update these terms for good reasons (for example new features or legal requirements); we’ll inform you in advance in the app, and you can object or stop using Playout. If you keep using Playout after the change takes effect, the new terms apply.

9. Ending your account

You can stop using Playout at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to support@playout.gg. Please cash out your balance before you do. We may close accounts that have been inactive for 12 months, or for important reasons such as a serious breach of section 6.

10. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise our liability is excluded. We do our best to keep Playout available, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted availability.

11. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain in effect.
