Monnies are little characters on the Passive tab that fill a shared vault with coins, even while the app is closed. Keep them awake, collect the vault often, and add new Monnies from packs.
The Passive tab is home to your Monnies, a crew of little characters that earn coins for you. Every Monnie on shift drops coins into one shared vault, minute after minute, even when the app is closed. Tap Collect and the vault moves into your coins.
Unlocking the Passive tab
The tab unlocks after a few first steps, shown on the tab: start Playout, play a few different games, finish some levels and earn your first small amount.
Keeping your crew earning
- Wake them up. Monnies get sleepy now and then. Tap Wake up to get them back to work.
- Full crew bonus. With your whole crew awake, you earn a bonus on every level you finish.
- Collect often. Emptying the vault as it fills keeps the coins flowing.
- Vault keys. When the vault asks for a key, finish a small task, like a few levels in a named game, to earn one. Levels count after you tap Start.
Getting new Monnies
New Monnies come from packs:
- a free daily pack
- packs bought with diamonds, which your working Monnies dig up and duplicates melt into
- promo codes, entered under “HAVE A CODE?” in the pack shop (see where to enter a code)
Diamonds are always earned by playing, never bought. There are no purchases on Playout.
Making the vault bigger
The vault cap is shown on the Passive tab. Monnies with the “Vault size” power raise it. Until you find one, collect often so your vault keeps filling.
Monnie powers
Other powers include faster earning, extra coins per level, extra quiz coins, an extra wheel respin or dice reroll, and finding diamonds more often. Tap a Monnie to see its power.
Season collection
Completing a season’s collection earns a prize on top of everything your crew has already made.
