Knowing how to redeem gift cards takes the guesswork out of the best part: spending them. The steps are almost the same everywhere. You sign in to your account for that brand, find the redeem or gift card section, and enter your code. The value lands in your account balance or wallet, ready for your next purchase.
Below you’ll find how your Playout gift card arrives, a few basics that work for every card, and where to redeem each brand.
How your Playout gift card arrives
When your balance reaches the low minimum, tap it at the top of the Home tab and choose a gift card. Then:
- Check your inbox. The reward email comes from our payout partner and usually arrives within minutes.
- Accept the reward in the email.
- Copy your gift card code and redeem it with the brand, as described below.

In the app, open the ⋮ menu and My earnings to see every payout. “Sent” means the email is already in your inbox. See how to cash out for each step.
Basics that work for every gift card
- Sign in to the right account first, the one you actually shop or play on.
- Enter the code exactly, or copy and paste it to avoid typos.
- Match the country. Gift cards are generally tied to the country they’re issued for.
- Redeem soon after it arrives. Once the code is in your account, the balance waits there for you.
Code, PIN or card number?
Brands use different names for the same thing. Amazon calls it a claim code, Roblox and Netflix call it a PIN, and many others simply say code. Some store cards come with a card number plus a PIN: enter both where the brand asks for them. Whatever it’s called, the reward email shows everything you need, and you enter it in the brand’s redeem section as described below.
How to redeem gift cards by brand
These are the general steps for each brand. Each brand’s own help pages have the latest details.

PayPal isn’t a gift card, so there’s no code to enter. Accept the reward email and the money lands in your PayPal account, where you can spend it or move it to your bank.

Which gift card should you pick?
Pick the brand you’ll use soonest. A card for a store or service you already use goes straight to work: groceries on Walmart or Target, a new game on Steam or Nintendo eShop, Robux on Roblox, or a month of music on Spotify. If you’d rather keep your options open, PayPal cash is the most flexible. For help choosing, see PayPal vs gift cards and Amazon vs Google Play gift card.
The gift cards you can pick depend on your country, and the app shows the ones available to you. See all rewards for every option.
