Hexa Pop is a hexa sort puzzle: you drop stacks of colored chips onto a honeycomb board, matching colors hop across to join each other, and every tall single-color tower bursts in confetti. It is free on Google Play, has no in-app purchases, and comes from Loyalty Gaming, the studio behind Playout’s own games. If you want to earn money playing a color sort game, open it through Playout and every level you clear adds coins to your balance.
How Hexa Pop plays
At the bottom of the screen is a tray with three chip stacks. Pick one and drop it on any empty hex of the board. As soon as it lands, chips of the same color on top of neighboring stacks slide across to join it, chip by chip, and the movement can chain from cell to cell across the board. When one color reaches a tower of 10 or more chips, it bursts and fills your goal bar. Fill the bar to clear the level. Keep space free, because a full board ends the level.
The fun is in the chains. One well-placed stack can pull chips from three directions, finish a tower, and set off COMBO, AMAZING and INCREDIBLE streaks as the merges roll on. Clear every color to light the rainbow and fire a Rainbow Bomb, which pulls a whole color into one big blast. Rainbow WILD chips take the color of their neighbors, which can save a crowded board.
Most levels take under a minute. There are more than 1,000, with a fresh board and sky every 25 levels, from amethyst and ocean to sunset and jade. Breather levels and tougher boss levels keep the pace varied, and Lucky Payday levels pay extra in-game coins. Undo, Hammer and Refresh help when a board gets tight.

Tips to earn more in Hexa Pop
- Drop between matching neighbors. A stack placed where two or three neighbors share its top color pulls chips from all of them at once.
- Mind the bottom chips. When the top color slides away, the chips underneath are what’s left. Look at the whole stack, not just the top.
- Leave a gap or two. An empty hex in the middle of the board gives you somewhere to put an awkward stack later.
- Keep the WILD for rescues. A WILD chip is most valuable when the board is crowded and one merge would open it up.
- Do your daily 5. Finishing 5 levels in any game each day grows your daily streak, and each streak day permanently raises your coin boost.
- Mix games for the Live Event. The first collectible on each game takes fewer levels than the next one on the same game. Candy Cannon Sort is a natural partner.
Who will like Hexa Pop
Hexa Pop is for players who love the feeling of things falling into place: merge games, sort puzzles and anything with a satisfying chain reaction. It plays with one finger and works offline, and the levels are short enough to fit between other things.
If you enjoy the merging but want a classic grid, Domino Blast puts chain reactions on a block puzzle board.
